Ronin, did you mean to direct this at the 151st? heh, for all of us to get in some practice on week nights would take either you guys staying up very late or most of us quiting our jobs :o

Seriously, This week I have institiuted a weekly 21st Striker Practice on Weds. Nights. I wanted to try a few things in a smaller controled (as much as my mob can be controled) setting. This way if it doesnt work out then all I have done is waste my time instead of the whole units time. Plus I have 2 new and one old drop commanders to break in and get them used to working on a clock and learning their wings tendencies.

A few ideas we are working on is a set of standard mech varients so a DC will know pretty much what each mech in his drop has on it. Some variation of this I think will work for us and save us time between drops.
Other things like wingman sets and contact drills etc. are also being worked on.

One of the things I think we all need to do is work in more No Respawn games. The spawn..go forth...die...repeat thing I believe sets a different mind set than one life games where it counts so....here is what I am working on with SD.

1. Had him update all the server maps to the latest current ones on the MekTek web page including all the maps we will be needing for W!O.

2. had him look into 2 server utils that will check for hacked varients and other nonsence and protect our server.

3. set up a No-Respawn and a Classic No Respawn server list that we can switch out along with the standard one we have now. I for one am tired of the Daisy/Glad fests that seen to be the rage right now. That should be up for the weekend. Once all this server stuff is setup I need t get with Cricket and Lancer to show them how to switch the server scripts and show Lancer how to run the remote.

Can someone create a sticky post showing dates/times for each of the regiments practises?

That way more can turn up.

If the Regimental CO's give me times and days for their practices, I will create a sticky post to list them...

Note that if needed for league drops, these may take precedence over Regimental practices.

The 21st will be hold it's regimental practice on Weds Nights at 8:30 EST for about 2 hrs. For now, our practice WILL take precedence over league drops becuase i think for us (the 21st), we need to work on a few things.

The current W!O raid on CJF got scheduled for Weds. Jan 14th. This is due to how the W!O scheduler automation works (which I didnt find out till used it). Whenever you tell the automation to initiate a battle it is scheduled for exactly 7 days out from what ever time you hit the button (but if both teams aggree, you can fight it at any time/date before that. Think of it as a Drop Dead Date). In this case 8 PM EST on Jan 14th. I talked to Cogburn and he said as long as the fight is done and logged before midnight EST on the 7th day all is cool. Just an FYI for regimental CO's scheduling wise.

I'm not doing these closed 21st practices this way for any other reason other than I want to keep the practice group small so it is easier to control. Once I feel we have our shit together (the 21st), I'll open them up.
