Buffalo's 11th Lyran Guards WIN!

Post by Buffalo Six »

Well fellow horsemen, here is my latest entry for a Martial Olympics force, that has to contain 1 mech, 1 vee, 1 infantry or battle armor, and once wildcard of any of the above.

I give you the 11th Lyran Guards force consisting of:

Group Shot (with my Dropship in the background)

Buff,

Awesome work man! They all look great. If you aren't in the running, then the ones that are must look like photos of real mechs. Keep up the good work.

What did you use for the grass on the bases?

The results are in. By a margin of 1 vote

Buffalo's 11th Lyran Guards place 1st

It was a tough call and I feel really lucky to win. I think the competition will be much stiffer at the end of the month in the LoTB canon IS unit painting contest.

Congrats on the well-deserved win, Buff. The competition was good but I think that your overall entry was better than the others, for sure. Each competitor had one or two nice bits of work, but I think you did a great job on all three types of unit.

On the strength of these latest minis and a few prior, I have been given a personal gallery on Lords of the Battlefield. I am in no way as good as some of the people that also have galleries there. Some of the names are a who's who of CBT mini painting, hell some are professional painters/artists/sculpters. But I think I have enough stuff to make a good account of myself there. Even blind squrrils find acorns now and again :o
