DVD Games for your PC.

Think of the possibilities…… with 4.7 gigs there’s a lot of room for a really big game.

Well I guess I should make myself more clear next time. I’m not supporting Unreal Tournament 2004 , but , I am trying to make a point about how big this game is. In a word , .. It’s “ Bigger “ then the X-Box ! Meaning , X-Box can’t support it and doesn’t offer it as one of their games. Unless X-Box upgrades itself for tomorrows games then the PC has a nice shot at making a come back.

Why do a DVD version of UT 2004, you might ask? The rationale becomes obvious once you find out that the CD version of the game is shipping on 6 discs. (The minimum installation reportedly takes up a whopping 5.5 GB of hard-drive space.) All 6 CD's fit nicely on disc 1 of the DVD set, which (if nothing else) should make the installation easier and reduce the risk of misplacing or scratching various CD's.

Well there’s that , and plus I’m keeping an eye on you guys. .......Image

i think in alot of ways the PC still has the advantage over console games. if you have a high end PC and you look at the graphic quality vs the Xbox etc. you notice that PC is superior in alot of respects.

Take Need For Speed Underground for instance. ive seen that played on Xbox. and the graphics are fairly good. but i got the PC version, installed on my puter and bumbed the graphics up and its like WOW.

i never realy understood the console mentality except maybe cost. they are cheaper then a PC. but the bad thing is you cant do anything else with them besides play games realy.

well i have a pc (obviously) a gamecube and a ps2....the gamecube i rarely play on atm....i have a few nintendo only games on it that are fun and that's about it....the ps2 i have a number of games, as i think beat em ups, platformers and some action games are better on console, but i use it mainly as a dvd player in my room....it's my PC that i play most on....no other gaming system gives u the diversity, functionality and upgradability that the old beige box does.....tho mine isn't beige courtesy of the other 151 members (the boys built me a luvverly PC with a brushed aluiminium case)...so they're even stylish nowadays (esp the alienware PC's super high spec, and super cool looking)

actually, i'm comparing pc's to consoles....as a member of the younger generation, i am able to do so....i really wouldn't expect many of my colleagues from the 151 to understand...they are somewhat 'advanced' in years after all.
