i was afraid to look in this one slammer i mean that title can be taken in so many ways specialy after all the years my mother said always said to ' hold my horses' when i had to go pee in a car ride LOL.

anyhow, i started a thread under the NBT4 forums of the Eridani news section.

we can put all the info and stuff relating Mercs HC there i think. keep all the stuff in once place. i would rearrange the forums and stuff, but knowing my luck i would mess something up, and besides its not nice to do stuff like that without asking, and i think crickett has the moderator thingy :P

General Slam <S>

Nice to see you getting the urge to take the Cauldron-Born out. Tach has been kindly helping me keep up with the new updates. I have the MekTek stuff running though I may be one HC behind. I have gotten in a few servers and it has been fun, if not terribly victorious for me. I also heard that we're on a secondary comm but I have been able to connect to that (thanks again to Tach & Crick), I just haven't been lucky to catch anyone there. Hopefully, we can get some interest going here and maybe we can try to pick a nite and get a few Lighthorse in a server somewhere.

Here's an open question - is it bad form to us to connect to an NBT server and still use our ELH title? I saw Venom on a server months ago & he asked me something about that but we weren't on the server long enough to complete the conversation.

<S> to all and GL with the X-Mas shopping.

i don't see why we can't use the ELH title......in the case of nbt, most people are pretty set in their identity/persona already anyway, and have been for years, so it shouldn't be a problem in that respect.....as to whether any new gang gets in an arse with us for using it, tough tomatoes......they don't have a cpoyright on it, and neither do we.....remember the russian ELH.....the joy of peaceful co-existance........feel the karma guys, feel the karma :)

Anyway, ELH is currently *inactive* in NBT with 0 pilots.

If I remember correctly, there have been at least two ELHs come and go in NBT since we went inactive last December.

Hey Slam, good to c ya bro. The first salute was from an E-6 at the unit who i know, the ceremony was great, my wife, brother, mom, dad and a bunch of officers and NCO's from the unit were present as well as BG Rosado the comander of the 65th RRC here in the island.
Hey just finished installing, patching, dling, etc,etc needed to run mw4(took me about 45 min to get all squared away), just missing mercsHC, waiting for them to get a finished product(hate betas)...hey Tach any idea when that might be?

Looks like they're shooting for April 1st, 2005 - at least that seems to be when they plan on the NBT making the switch to NBT-HardCore. In the meantime, it's business as usual in NBT-Mercs.

http://www.netbattletech.com/hpguplink/ ... hp?t=25664

But heck, don't wait - download the betas and check out em out - they're small, and they won't mess up your MP2.1a stuff. There are 4 NBT servers set aside for HC, open to da public, 24/7.

But be warned: 'Mechs don't frolick around in HC. They move like they got some WEIGHT to 'em. And heat is BRUTAL, unless ya actually use some heatsinks. It's fun. 8)
