What is Desert Combat?
Desert Combat is a modern day military modification to the popular war game BattleField1942 from EA. It is focused on conflicts in the middle-east within the last decade between the various nations, From Desert Storm to Somalia. This war game is a total conversion for Battlefield1942 and is based on the same principles of a FPS and arcade style vehicle sim. It will be focused around multiplayer online gameplay and is expected to be free to the public.


I have DLed this Mod and I am going to test it out. Anyone else here have BF 1942 and want to test this out? You must have the BF1942 1.3 patch installed. You can check out DESERT COMBAT here:

I also picked up the BF1942 Expansion, I would really like to get some of us together and play BF1942 online. I think it would be a blast playing this as a squad.

I have downloaded Desertcombat but i havent tried it out yet so im very eager to try it
i also got road to rome now i got it as a Birthday gift and its a very good expansion.

I messed around with this Desert Combat last night, it's pretty damned cool I have to say. Not bad at all. It basically uses modern day units and puts them on the BF1942 maps. It replaces prop planes with F-16s and Mig-29s, pretty cool to see the F-16s doing bombing runs. I will try and take some screenshots the next time I play to give everyone a look.

If you have BF1942, you should really check this mod out. It's worth it.
