Saturday night
Anyone want to practice or play. Come to think of it. If we keep commicae lines open we can practice as we play by assessing and improving upon our mistakes. Remember, we're better than we think we are and not as good as we would assume.
Grif - I am up for some practise if that is what we decide to do. Much as the emphasis is on the fun factor for our team, I think most people would like to give a better account of themselves in these online team matches.
Maybe we could do a slow-time walk through of one of the maps; everyone should have a shout at what our tactic should be, and we can discuss the pros and cons and come up with the optimum solution for our team. We might want to talk about team positions or pairings with responsibilities for each mission as a generic start point and so on.
Something that does bug me though is the way the other teams know where we are and we don't know!! Are we missing something?

i am up for a discussion of each map and tactics.
and i agree with you kodiak - the only way all those grenades are effective at the start is if they know where we are as a tight group. and hell, a couple of those times were random spawn points. what gives? is there a cheat that shows our location on the map?

Guys, been there done that and unless you are competing seriously in online league/tourneys, and are prepared to take this seriously instead of for fun, the map walks, etc get boring and turn to work REAL fast.
I think a better approach may be to actually still play against others, but to actually practice tactics that we think will work... We should have a list of ideas to try, someone is responsible for having the list and going over it before each game/map...
I have a couple of ideas to try out. One is to conduct and immediate action drill immediately for incoming upon spawning - it is normally called in a direction and number of meters and everyone hauls ass that direction, but in our case to adapt to the game the leader should call a direction and number of seconds...
The other idea is something we have tried and been successful with - slow it down to our pace and play our game. Not camp, but move very meticulously and slowly...
Thoughts?
I am in for tonight in about 15 minutes...
