Friday nights--we're trying to at least keep IL2 PF on that night. We could play it Saturday night? or some night during the week?

I've also picked this up. I was looking at a Falcon4.0 mission or two, the idea being to aid in establishing an expected standard stability with as many personnel as possible. I'll sort out a mission or two and if anyone fancies the idea, I'd be up for that. However, if there are just the right number of people I am more than willing to have a blast at this online as well.

Well, finally got up online with SB last night playing this. Putting the AI down is somewhat difficult unless you head-shot them straight away. And to really stand a chance you need to have a full four-man team - SAW gunner is NOT recommmended unless you are in a confined space IMHO, the spread from the recoil is too high for any long-range accurate shooting, especially with no single-shot/3rd burst option it is difficult to get on target. Even though it is a little scripted obviously, there is still an element AI doing their own thing each time. It was a crazy time we had in those missions, so much so that I couldn't hold the mouse properly from the sweat off my hand! Can't wait to get this going with a full team.

i do quite well with the saw - ask SB. I believe i had 44 kills in our first two person online game, vs his 10 or so...

you have to have fire control.

Admittedly my body count was significant at the end of each mission. But I felt that it should have been killing more effectively, and it always felt that I would have two or three bursts at a target before it went down. Thinking about it though, up close was just as bad - a 3rd burst that would have stopped anything wasn't enough, and you tended to need two or three short bursts before knocking the target down. having said all that, it IS cool to see a head-shot result in a first time knockdown. That works for me, and that IS my style of play that I'm comfortable with, taking my time setting-up the shot and getting the single round down the range. Which I guess is why I enjoy playing sniper so often at G-R or OFP etc.,
