So Kodiak, did you notice anything until it was all over the Sun front cover?
"...and the bombs go BOOM and the walls crash down, bang, bang, boom, boom, war is a terrible thing, OK?!..."

Wasn't this about some daft journalist who tried to get into Sandhurst with a fake bomb?

He gained access by claiming to be a mil history student in an e-mail. Requested use of the library here, which of course has extensive information of that type. He was then issued a pass on arrival and allowed to go on his merry way - only, instead of going to the library, he sauntered off in the direction of well accomodation, and training areas.
What grinds my shit, is that I have a tough time getting in here (even with my farkin ID card and car pass), and I friggin well live here!!!
There are regulations which state he should have been only permitted on the camp with supervision (an escort), but I myself am aware that these regulations are not in place, never mind not being enforced. Given the company we are currently keeping here, it's pretty damn stupid. They basically put regulations and procedures in place that meant for shag-all, inconveniencing all the wrong people. They only have themselves to blame for this one. Sensationalised? Yes! But not without good cause, to be honest.
When it comes to security, I'm afraid that civvies are as clueless as it gets. You only need to look at Group 4 security company and their efforts. If you want something guarded, put real soldiers on the job.
