yeah, but as long as she doesn't know that....seriously tho, i know what the lads round where i live are like... i make no apologies for being a protective older brother, however much it may piss her off. Unfortunately for her, she's extremely naive, so someone has to keep an eye on her.

Well, I didn't really need to do much as an older brother as I had two elder brothers to do most of it for me. However, it ISN'T our right to interfere, only protect - they end up resenting you because they see your attempt at protection as interference, beause that is what you are actually doing. Putting ourselves in their shoes, we'd be truely pissed if they started bitch-slapping our new g/f, right?! And guys are like that everywhere; we adopted a different approach - seeingas we are all military and highly trained in a variety of 'techniques' with regard to unarmed combat . . . we've passed that good training on, and to be sure we knew she was good, we worked her over ourselves a few times. I'd seriously give her a fairly decent chance against two guys, with her bare hands! 8)

Old enough to appreciate that there's nothing quite like a younger woman in your life. 8) My ex-wife was 2 years older than myself, my new wife is 8 years younger. It can, and more often than not, does work better. Steel's just a really really lucky bastard!!

Maybe the question shouldn't be how old HE is, but how young is SHE??

Well the truth of the matter is this - deny it if you will, but regardless of age I defy any of you hot blooded males to avoid checking out the younger babes on the beach or in the bar etc., And given the option, classics are fine, but the newer models will always be favoured. 8)

Hmmm..odd. Even with my hawkish good looks and incredible charisma, I've never been able to date a girl that much younger than me. How weird.

not sure why it would be odd - i suppose you consider yourself a playboy or some such? or perhaps, as jedi stated, they just weren't quite ready to think about dating... :?:

5: SWAT...any surprise there?

4: Bad Boys II: Some of those assault scenes were obviously done by professionals.

3: We Were Soldiers

2: Blackhawk Down

1: Colors..about as reaslitic to gang work and life on the street as a PO you might ever see

Blackhawk Down and We Were Soldiers were fantastic movies. However, I disagree on your choice of Bad Boys II though. I think the script was written in crayon by a 10 year old kid and Martin Lawrence cant act so save his life. :o

A Bridge Too Far is great. I have that one on DVD. Talk about an all star cast! Michael Caine, Sean Connery, Dick Bogarde, Ryan O'Neal, Gene Hackman, Maxmillian Schell, Anthony Hopkins and many more!

Oh Yeah , Movies –

Saving Private Ryan

Platoon ( You all take a good look at this lump of shit. Remember what it looks like. You fuck up in a firefight... and I goddamn guarantee you a trip out of the bush - in a body bag! Out here, assholes, you keep your shit wired tight at all times! And that goes for you, shit-for-brains. You don't sleep on no fuckin' ambush! And the next sum'bitch I catch coppin Z's in the bush, I'm personally gonna take an interest in seein' him suffer. I shit you not. Doc, tag him and bag him! )

Soldier ( Kurt Russell )

Silent Running ( Freeman does what he must, and spends the remainder of his mission with three robotic "drones" Huey, Duey and Luie as his only companions, struggling to maintain his sanity in the vastness of space.

Outland ( Sean Connery )

Excalibur ( King Arthur , Lancelot , Merlin ) ( Just take my sword and throw it in the lake , then tell me what happens )

Terminator ( Schwarzenegger )

Fist Full Of Dollars ( Clint Eastwood ) Don’t laugh. You see , my horse gets the funny feeling that your laughing at him. Now I want you all to apologize )

I love all the movies you mentioned except "Soldier". UGH!! You actually liked it? :o

I mean, I've seen much worse B movies than Soldier but it was just funny seeing it in the same list as The Longest Day and Platoon!

And to think that Sissy Spasek declined the role of Princess Leia in Star Wars so she could be in Carrie! I'm sure Carrie Fisher is very grateful for that.
