you know my dream game is a massive online battletech based game. with infantry, tanks, LRM/SRM launchers, mechs, etc...
Planetside was an interesting game due to how it was setup. you could configure your certs for basic foot soilder to base attacking, to tank driver, BFR pilot ( its like a big mech) to even aircraft pilots. you have medics, advanced hackers, to engineers. i CANT believe that the battle tech guys didnt thing of setting something up like this! i paid 13.00 a month to play planetside and would GLADLY pay to play a Btech based game like this. i mean realy can you imagine being infantry running around with big hulking mechs running around lol. would be a hoot
anyhow back to reality.
im more like you steel. i like hands on stuff. usualy something that requires a little skill to seperate the ok players from the realy GOOD players. not just the amount of money you have and what weapons your packing.

i could be wrong, but i think this mod is what u guys are looking for. It makes sense after all, as BF2 has all the components for infantry and standard type armoured vehicles. I did hear tell that elementals would feature as well. Don't quote me on this, as it's just stuff i think i remember reading in the article.

just visited the Battletech Mod Production web site and found this about the BF2 mod.. ( http://www.battletechmodproductions.com/ )
so defently worth looking forward to updates.New MTS domain
I've gotten tons of emails these last few months asking for the status of MTS - Mech Tactical Simulation, our Battlefield 2 total conversion mod. Some have concerned the lack of updates, but most have been due to the lack of website.
Yes, the website has been offline for a few months now, but the mod is still being actively developed, a bit slow due to real life contraints, but it's far from dead, nor will it die.
We have a new web address at http://www.mts-mod.net , so be sure to update your bookmarks. Currently only the launch page is available, but now that i am back from vacation we will finally proceed to revamp and relaunch the website, so stay tuned for further info on this.
In the meantime, register and check out our forum, we are always around, and sometimes show some work being done. The latest around there is the Clan Black Lanner 55-ton OmniMech, modelled by Corsair.
