music bed for promo

Post by Grifter »

I'm slowly, and I mean slowly working on a promo for our unit. Right now, I'm selecting the music bed for the video. Does anyone have any suggestions? I would like to use the music from the opening movie for Janes USAF, but can't figure out what the title may be for that piece. I've only got the name of the guy who made it and that does'nt help. sigh.

seems like i recall that tune also being used for a recent war movie. we were soldiers? if that is true, then maybe you can check out the movie credits.

Thanks Madrus. I'm looking into this now and while I have not found the exact tune, that movie does offer some possibilities.

You might want to try using an appropriate extraxt from the Platoon theme of Barber's Adagio for Strings by William Orbit. Probably the Ferry Corsten remix would have a good beat to it, more info at:

If need be I could forward you a sample.

Yeah that would be great. I think these are all good suggestions. I just have to figure out how to splice stuff with adobe premiere. Classic adobe problem. You read the directions on how to do something and then when you try it, for some reason it does not work. You think they would make it as easy as cut and paste, but nooooooo that would make too much sense. I plan on reading the manual front to back on the next vacation and start tinkering. I just need to learn how to do fades, cut/splice, and superimpositions and I'm all set. But, that's a lot in Adobe. It took me over a month to learn how to use photoshop because Adobe does'nt seem to know how write a freakin' manual!!!!

I've always liked "Eagles Fly" by Van Halen

"Wake Up" (Matrix theme) Rage Against the Machine
"Bulls on Parade" Rage Against the Machine

"1812 Overture" (the last couple minutes of it) Tchaikovsky

"Kick Some Ass" Stroke 9

"Brainstew/Jaded" Green Day

I just thought of one that is a little more obscure ... track 3 from the matrix soundtrack (Ministry "Bad Blood")... i can send it if you don't have it...
