Thanks Steel. I have been cruising the Steel Beasts forums the last couple weeks for release info. I'll believe it when it's sitting in my mailbox, heh. This month and next month are going to be busy gaming months for me...

Steel Beasts Pro PE
Star Wars Empire at War RTS
Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
Swat 4 Expansion
Ghost Recon: Advanced War Fighter

To name a few...UGH!! Just think, when ArmA gets released, all those games are going on the back burner. Well, except for maybe SB Pro PE. Lol!

yeah - see m y posts in this thread:

Empires at war just does not do it for me. yes, it is star wars but there is just not enough of a true tactical element for me. i guess that is whay they are called rela time STRATEGY games...not tactical.

the only temting games out of that list is SP Pro PE, and if you read my posts in the thread above you will know i am having a difficult time going for it... GR, well we shall see... hopefully there will be a demo.

Panzer and I are getting the S4 addon, too.

We've been playing a few 3rd party maps we found. Generally they're harder than the stock maps. :) That's why we're playing them now in R6 mode--we go in with lethal weapons and only worry about keeping ourselves and the hostages alive. If a tango drops, too bad! ;)

Well, I am certainly interested in SB ProPE. haven't played a tank sim since the days of Team Yankee & M1 Tank Platoon. Also Ghost Recon:AWF is a natural follow-on top GR series for me - I def enjoyed that, but didn't really get the chance to fully excel with the group, as I was still on 56K at the time. What is ArmA? Is it likely to be better than GR:AWF overall?
