SG1

Well it’s too bad about the Russians getting their brand new space ship blown away their first time out. I wonder how Lt. Col. Cameron Mitchell and Teal’c escaped the ship before it blew apart.

I also wonder who’s writing the scripts these days ! Because there not making a whole lot of sense anymore like they were. I mean wouldn’t it have been easier to just beam a Star Gate on board the American Daedalus Class Star Ship from some abandon world and bring it back to Cheyenne Mountain. But noooo , the US gives Russia a brand spanking new Daedalus class Star Ship for Their Star Gate , ( which wasn’t supposed to be done for another year yet ) , but Was ready in time for the Ori show down at the super gate. I still like the show but they need to start making more sense.

Seeing the Ori show down at the super gate reminded me of the Homeworld PC game and how Tactics come into play. I didn’t think our guys had any. They just opened fire on all the Ori ships with everything in their arsenal , when they should have concentrated their fire on one Ori ship at a time. That , and maybe some ship maneuvering could have allowed them to dodge a few hits as well. Although it was nice to see the Asgard there. As does Jack O Neill , I think their the coolest.

Well the plot line makes sense to me mostly, though you're right, they probably could've taken a star gate from another planet or something. maybe they did'nt due to ethical concerns? Hi, we're taking your stargate..sorry for the trouble? I dunno. I'm sure there must be a stargate on an uninhabited planet somewhere. Well anyway, I'm willing to suspend my disbelief. Yes, they treated the battle like a great sea battle of old, slugging it out with shear firepower and no maneuvering. Perhaps you're right there. I like the classic trope of the lonely individual, helpless, out in the middle of space. Carter can only sit there and watch as her friends are annihalated. This is a classic apocolyptic scifi vision.

it will be interesting to see how they pull themselves out of this one. I remember thinking they ought to just over load the supergate somehow, get it to feedback on itself or something. boom.

Big Bada Boom !

Yeah they need to get Milla Jovovich involved in this series. Maybe they could put her in a Russian star gate mission. She might bring some spice to it because I for one thinks she’s a classy actress with nice style. If you’ve seen her latest movie it might help you to know what I’m talking about.

Sorry for the wait, I really think it should be available sooner but maybe this will help.
Those fans who wanted to buy the complete Season box-sets would have to wait almost 6 months longer than those collecting the volumes. To this date volumes are still being released; Sony Home Entertainment announced the release of Volume 44 (Season 9, Episodes 1-4) in 2005, and the box-set for Season 9 will be available in February 2007.

It’s a bona fide information site if you click around a bit.
