I'm hooking up the new USBs that run from the front of the chassis to the mobo. I had to use the extension cables that came with the case in order for the USB's to reach the mobo pins. While plugging in the mobo pins, I saw that there are two leads (five actually). Four leads are group together in a plastic block and those plug into the mobo just fine. Then I have an extra ground lead. I don't know what to do with these. They don't seem to go any where? Here are a picture so you guys can see what I'm talking about.

SB, we did'nt have the right version mobo last night. But obviously they were closely related. This is the correct manual. Any insight you guys could offer would be appreciated.

they go on the 9th pin on the usb header on the mainboard. you also need to ensure you connect the usb blocks in the correct direction. this may entail looking at the mainboard manual and seeing which pins do what on the header, which should then be labeled on the 4 pin plocks as well... just make sure you match them up.

according to page 8 of the manual, section JFP1: The power switch has two poles that ought to be plugged in. The tenth pin is empty. However, the Power LED plug has THREE holes even though there are only two pins available. So now I'm wondering if one of the Power switch poles should not be plugged in or? arrgg...stupid pins. Any thoughts?
Don't worry about the 5th pin, as long as you have the other 4 in the correct order (VCC, USB1-, USB1+, GND) on the board, they will work. USB only requires the 4 listed pins.
The Power Led connector usually has a 3 pin connector, but there is only a green and white wire you need to plug in, green on pin 1 and white on pin 3, the pin in between them should be empty. Some cases have the Power Led wires as single connectors and some are a 3 pin connector with 2 wires in the 1 and 3 position (middle position empty).

1. The power LEd has the 3 pin setup exactly as you said. If I plug in the PWR SW then only the green wire of the Power LED will fit into a pin and the other Power LED wire will hang off the edge. This ok?
2. SB, I'm also assuming since it's a four pin USB and there are two rows on each motherboard mount. I can put two USB plugs on the same mount. The manual says that I can have up to four USBs in the front...so this would seem to make sense. Two USBs per mount?
I also have a fire wire unit mounted in my case It has two additional USB 2.0 in it that I would like to hook up. Problem is that the four wires are unmarked, so I'm uncertain which is the ground and vcc etc. Any thoughts? Wire colors are: black, green, white, and red. Should I just not install this unit? It has one of those memory stick units too.. I wouldn't mind hooking it up, but this whole unit is non-essential really.
