A new patch for Battlefield 2 is now available, updating DICE's military shooter to version 1.3. The new version adds a number of features including co-op support, airdropped vehicles, and more.

Incremental patch to update version 1.22 on 3D Gamers, Computer Games, Gamer's Hell, and Internode Games Network.
Full patch for any prior version on 3D Gamers, Computer Games, Gamer's Hell, Internode Games Network, and VGPRO.
Updated Windows dedicated server on 3D Gamers, Computer Games, Gamer's Hell, Internode Games Network,
Updated Linux server on 3D Gamers, Computer Games, Gamer's Hell, and Internode Games Network.

I got everything installed and patched up.

EDIT: Got it figured out, I renamed the BF2 folder that existed from my old install and everything loaded up as it should. Got everything working so far, and running at 1600x1200 res. Had 1 CTD during a mission so far, hopefully that was just a fluke.

Not sure how to see what version I have running. I installed the 1.3 patch, but I do not see where it says version 1.3 in game.

I found that a BF2 "deluxe" ed is coming out next week. It's BF2 plus the SpecFor addon. Of course, it's $50 ($48 at gogamer), not any big bargain. It's basically like getting that addon for free.

So, how's the coop with bots now in 1.3? Any info from those who have?

it is as it always was - mostly very nice. It's just that it's now in the interface. It really makes it easy to set up a coop server. Before, there was no easy way to set the difficulty, number of bots, map rotation, time limit, etc.
