Have to say, there IS an element of truth in that. The Cougar could and should have been put together better. Especially given the intended standard it was to achieve. Some of the new mods are great, but pricey too. One of them @ $600! Don't get me wrong, I understand all the nonsense involved with the process of manufacture - for something on a reasonably large scale, but the majority of these mods are small private ventures, and there are little to no 'tooling' costs etc., Most of this stuff is done by hand, in small numbers. And though I don't begrudge ANYONE a buck or ten for work they do on behalf of others, when they say this is for the love of the community, and then want your left arm for it. . . . well, it leaves a little bitterness in my opinion.
