"Shoo! Shoo! Go away! Oh God, he's got a monkey." -- Ms Purple
I seriously am impressed with that! I'm guessing it's a memory retention thing - the brain sees what it should see, even if that's not what is there. Shows you how easy it is to fool the brain. I wonder how many times and by who, where and why this sort of 'technology' has been used to someone's advantage.

we did something like this in grade school with the american flag. what i think it deals with is negitive color imagry. in school, we used the basic primary colors, i cant remember the correct colors we used to color our little flags but i think it was green and yellow and something else. you staired at the flag for a few seconds and then looked at a white paper, and you would see the flag in red, white and blue.
i agree with kodiak, that was totaly impresive..
i did it, and then thought they just switched it with a mouse over of a color pic.
me: "hmmm ok 28,29,30! (mouse over) oh the bumms, they just put up a color photo....... HEY wait a minute!!!!! ) LOL
great find Tach!

It is literally only a blink of the eye and then you notice the true colours. So, you might think you saw the colours and then of course the effect is gone. Give it another go.
