The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

Post by PanzerMeyer »

I'll say it now, this is the best Western ever made.

Lee Van Cleef is a god! He was just so awesome in his role. Clint Eastwood and the guy who played Tuco were great as well but it was really Lee van Cleef who stole the show. The black comedy is great and I had forgotten just how many great lines are in this film like:

Tuco: God is on our side because he hates the Yanks.
Blondie: God is not on our side because he hates idiots also.

You see, in this world there's two kinds of people, my friend: Those with loaded guns and those who dig. You dig.

There are two kinds of spurs, my friend. Those that come in by the door; those that come in by the window.

If you work for a living, why do you kill yourself working?

Oh and last but not least, the music was great too.

Yes, that's an old classic mate. I've always enjoyed spaghetti westerns myself.

I have the Trilogy for that series on DVD. Well, I'm not completely sure if an actual Trilogy, but it came in a DVD pack called the Clint Eastwood Gift Set.

Nice One ! That just might be The best one ever.

I also like Fist Full Of Dollars , from the Clint collection.

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughing. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

I also Like Silverado.

It has a good cast with a good story line. Not to mention a happy ending.

Beyond that I’d go with Tombstone.

Nice all star cast with bona fide acting. I think Val Kilmer stole the show because he’s what made it interesting playing Doc Holliday.

Tombstone is a great film. Powers Booth makes such a great bad guy! Mind you, not as good as Lee Van Cleef but he's still very good.
