Request to join WoF

Post by letterboy1 »

I've been looking at the RLG website and probably missed the recruitment section (I often miss the obvious). I've been flying with you guys periodically (IL-2 and LOMAC) and have been thinking of joining. You might remember me as the guy with the slurred speech. Sometimes I don't remember the good times we've had, but going by the ones I do remember I'd like to ask if you would consider letting me join. I promise to drop out of any game when I've sat and stared blankly at my monitor for more than 10 minutes ("We're waiting for Letterboy" has woken me up one night). So is there a form to fill out?

well, for WOF there is a seiously outdated website (http://www.wings-of-fury.com) (that no one uses any more) since our CO and webmaster has been absent for about, well, 2 years???

i think this post will do quite nicely. if anyone objects they must do so here, publicly. they have 48 hours. i seriously doubt we will have any such response though - it has always been nice to have you along...

besides, you own SBPPE and have another acquaintance that does as well! :D

Thanks for the vote of confidence, Steel.

By the way, I am prepared for next Friday in case we join the 105 squadron again. I tested the TeamSpeak password and it's a go. I wish I had thought to check these forums. I wasn't even inebriated at the time so I have no excuse.

Also, I am learning more about online play in SB Pro PE. I think I'll give it another week or so before I join you guys with this one. I have a lot to learn, but Grim_Death is really helping me get acclimated. He happens to live here locally which makes it very handy when it comes to setting things up (like my router). Before he bought his own copy of SB Pro PE, he came over and played mine and I got to see the skills he aquired with the original SB. Makes me wish I had bought it and got a leg up.

Welcome aboard Letterboy. It's definitely great to have you join us. It's always nice having another German movie fan around here.

Welcome aboard Letterboy, it's always good to have another WOF member.

See you in the sky or on the ground. You should certainly join us for SBPPE, regardless of your experience level. I have always said the best way to learn something is to play it and ask questions along the way.

Thanks everyone. Even you, Grim_Death. You probably think this will take me away from attracting enemy tank shots in SB Pro PE but not to worry, your favorite decoy will still be available.

Cool! 8) What you going to get up to while you're with us letterboy? I don't yet have SB PPE, but it IS on the usual want list. I fly FalconAF, iL-2 and eagerly await the hopeful arrival of FOps &/or Falcon AF II or woteva they decide to call it. Although I have my own conspiracy theory that FOps = FalconAF II who really knows, eh?
