I'm currently watching the series on DVD and I really like the show so far. My favorite character is probably Simon since I can mostly identify with him.

Just so yas know (in case yas don't, that is)...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serenity:_ ... eft_Behind

Serenity: Those Left Behind is a 2005 three-issue comic book miniseries published by Dark Horse Comics. It was written by Joss Whedon and Brett Matthews, illustrated by Will Conrad, and colored by Laura Martin. It is the first comic book series to be based on Whedon's short-lived 2002 television series Firefly and the 2005 feature film into which it was adapted, Serenity. The story is set between the end of the series and the beginning of the film, and depicts (among other things) what happens to Lawrence Dobson, the Alliance secret agent who attempted to capture Simon and River Tam in the pilot episode of Firefly, also titled "Serenity."

Also: The story focuses on the crew of Serenity taking a salvage job from Badger following a botched theft on a backwater planet, and the pursuit of River by the ominous blue-gloved men seen in two Firefly episodes. The story is considered part of the Firefly canon and bridges the TV show and the movie.

Interesting. I was looking up the cast of Firefly on IMDB and found out that two of the actors are native born Canadians. They are Mal and Kaylee.

me and amazon.com are not friends after they riped me for buying second hand battletech books on there. Aparentlay canada requires international shipping charges of 5$ per book, most novels where les then 5$. Total of about 20 odd books and you have one very ticked off veg. I know shipping across the border is about the same as shiping in the US, so this was the biggest ripoff I had been subject to. what was even worse was I spend 2 hr's researching amzon.com to make sure this exact thign would not happen, and from what I read Canada was not a issue. The little bit I missed was on a sub page to a sub page to a sub page welll hidden. Amazon.ca has been good to me tho, but um being in the US they would probaly do the exact same thing to me.

I picked up the series as a trade PB, all 3 in one $10 copy, at Books A Million last weekend. Great explanation of what happened between the show and film, as a few unanswered questions were raised when you see Serenity.
Why did Book leave?
Where are the men with the blue hands?
What happened when Inara left?
