... good new A-10 or AH-64D flight sims out there? I love the tank busting stuff and it would be wicked [that's a massachusetts thing] cool to get some multiplayer flights out there trashing stuff. I would particularly love getting some time with the AH-64D. I used to play Jane's Longbow and Longbow 2. Nothing stimulates the senses more than flying at a couple hundred knots at under 50 feet in rotary aircraft on full realism; well nothing except maybe the real thing

For helo stuff you might want to look at Gunship! It is a value release right now, and the Gunship mod team has done a few nice things with it. It is NOT LB2 or EECH, it is more of a total battlefield experience sim, so do not expect the avionic fidelity that you had with LB2.

A-10's fly and shoot quite nicely in Falcon 4 w/ Superpak 3. I built a mission that we flew last night with a flight of A-10's. I do take requests for misson building as well.

Best bet for helo's will probably be Fair Strike coming out in the fall (hopefully - I think that is when). For A-10's it will be LOMAC that is due this summer.

I have been messing around with EECH today.(Had the day off because the power was out all day in our building, WOO HOO!) I have EEAH+EECH all patched up to 1.60W8(Beta) and running at 1280x960 @ 4xFSAA, and installed the HIGH RES cockpits. All I can say is WOW!! (I can post screenshots for anyone interested)

I don't remember EECH looking this good. Yea, the trees and forest areas look like crap(blobs of green), but I can look past that. LB2 didn't even have trees and it's still good. I am enjoying re-learning EECH so far.


FALCON 4
I did some tank busting and AAA busting in our F4 mission with the A-10 last night. It was a total blast (Literally). Right up until I took a flak hit and lost my HUD and Map. I had no idea where the home airfield was(no reference), and ended up flying south until I saw what looked like a friendly airfield. I landed the plane at the airfield and ended the mission. Had a great time in F4 last night, it has been awhile since I have flown with the group successfully.

Yes, I have WinXP Pro and EECH installed. No problems to report, just be sure to follow the correct install procedure.(SEE BELOW)

I have both EEAH and EECH installed together, so there is a certain install sequence you need to follow:

Install EEAH, run once.
Patch EEAH 1.1e, run once.
Install EECH, run once.
Patch to 1.41c
Then it's just a swap of cohokum.exe to the desired version, 146x, 147x 151D or 160W.

I am running the latest Beta patch 160W8 and everything works so far. The 146x and later patches fix the USB HAT switch view shoots up bug. I have read that there are some issues with MP and the 160W8 patch. Not sure exactly what the problems are.
