I read this and it sent a shiver down my back. Seriously, he did not seam to be breaking any laws or anything but he is being sued anyway. Do the employers in this country relay have that much power to enforce over the employees.

its possible, it all depends on what he put on his writen 2 week notice. if it read like a promisary note or something maybe they are sueing for him leaving a week early. seems a bit stupid to me, the most i could see them getting would be a weeks worth of performance profits, but even then they would have to prove how much money they had lost becuse he left that week early. all i know is you defently got to be cautious as to what you put to paper now days. the trend ive seen, it seems to me employers look on their employees less and less as ppl, but assets. its almost like the same attitude most ppl look on workman or service ppl. ( they are not realy ppl, they are some automated system and we have a perfect right to jump down their throughts if they dont perform. ) hopefully this attitude will get better, but i havnt seen any signs of it. im curious to how this will end. i hope its dismised before it sets a precidence.

he jumped to a competitor, and if there is any propritiary info that Company A dont want Company B to learn from their new hire....then some suit calls the lawyers.

Now if there is no "no-compete" clause in place...then too bad for Company A
