Damm that thing aint a picture of a PC that's a hydro power generating plant!
I know it is as i can see the 2 turbines that will get powered by a local damm, and all the cabling to supply the local electricity grid at the bottom

Ok well, now I have cases of unsupported chips just not working and unsupported chips working but being downgraded to run at lowest the motherboard can run them at as it can't figure out what speed it is. Which allows you to update the bios. so guess it really depends on the chip, go figure.
And I know what power supply I want now, dam that thing has great cables, nice and clean vs what I have which is just LOTs of wires and such. A complete mess. I did get the rounded cables for cd rom and crap tho and that helped a lot but that power supply clean cable system helps a lot in there.
also dam I want that Case now, that fan in the top is perfect position to remove the hot air from the CPU fan. Usually you want all but one or 2 fans pulling the hot air out, not the fans pushing in more air. but that looks like a great setup so far. I may have to invest in somthing very similar when I go for my pc (depends on my tax refund)

I may end up with that one shortley. It is also back in stock with newegg as well. I am going to start doing the research for a system now as I figure once tax refund hits me I can afford a system.
Where there any other cases you found that where in the runnings with that beast, or was that one just kicking. figure get the info form you as you sea to be interested in what I am. I may end up with a smiler system to you buff, most likely different video card, cpu and such but basic setup very smiler.
And I just realized why the hell the pic's u posted where bugging me that something was odd. the power supply is on the bottom not the top of the case. I saw them and the orientation or somthing just seamed odd to me tell I realized what it was.

Here is the case I have, it's a bit on the big side, but I love it. It has a metal door with metal hinges, none of that cheapo plastic crap. I have the Black one.

Yes, I looked at that case and liked it other than it has a door covering the drives. That bugs me, yes I am strange.
On a positive note, I finally got someone on the phone to order a new BIOS chip. Tech support kept sending me to the same extention (who is prolly on vacation at the moment) and I never got any responce from their BIOS dept.....but I called Tech Support again and he got his Supervisor on the line and they gladly flashed me a new chip and put it in the mail tonight so I should get it by Tues. at the latest.
Also, I dont mean to sound strange but the girl who does the automated phone instructions.....sounds really hot with her southern belle Kentucky drawl....or maybe its just me....

Whew… It took me awhile to find this site again. Looking good Buff. Nicely tricked out and the onboard LED is looking sweet , tho I like the LCD Poster in the dark. That’s just icing on the cake.

Looks like those Brass bars are getting in the way when it comes to clamping down the heat sink. Reading all the Pros and Cons the other day , I’ve head of several people tearing up there hands on this one. Some of their complaints were quite funny , like-- Son of a Mo-$@$%@ this heat sink $#@$@$%@ is fu-%$# hehe

from what i could see of your case buff, i liked the size of the fans and all, but to be honest i realy like the side insert drive bays i got in this thermaltake case. it would be a toss up and alot of staring between the 2 before i could decide lol. i think i spent less time buying cars then i did getting this case.... im curious how much yours weighs.. this one i got is the 'home security' type. its so heavy they would be winded and taken a 5 min break by the time they reach the front door... so no.. its not a lan party case LOL.
I stoped into a pc store today and they had that case in as well as a large number of others. I am very impresed witht he design of the case, I am defentlay gettig the 900 for my case. Its got a unique look but not ODD shaped like some with the realy funney looking fronts that just take up room. The look of this is created by the fans positionand and such, so functional and looks great. I actulay found it for 100 $ (20% off all casess this month there) and would ahve bought it except they only had a floor model (would not sell it). I am calling back tuesday to see if they get one in. If so, then considering the cost, I will grab it at that price.

i got 7 fans in this case. but its not the ammount of fans that matters, its the SIZE of em just ask buff
this is the case i got a few years ago.
http://www.thermaltakeusa.com/xasercase ... v1000a.htm
its VERY well built. was a bit expensive though, around 160.00 at the time. the 2 side mounted fans are great for CPU and car cooling. there is 1 fan on top for hot air removal. and 2 fans where the Hdrives are mounted for keeping them cool too. but you do have to maintence. the intake screens or it will overheat. i was suprised how fast they clogged up. i took the side screens out this summer to keep some good air flow in there. but, i found the GPU card cooler got cloged instead i think i may of damaged my card slightly. but to be honest is does seem ok now days now that its cooler. maybe water cooling would help that too. so no im a firm believer in intake screens hehe.

So buff, Let me guess you will get the bios chip today but not get out of work tell 8 pm right, just to tick you off.
O and Buff MAKE DAM SURE u mark the direction of the bios chip before u take the old one out. there should be a indented spot on one end of the chip, make sure the new one goes in the same way. this is not as foolproof as a CPU is as it can go in different ways, and some chips fry when put in backwards. Not sure if a bios well, but um ya not worth the risk
also I know you have a fan controller. I have never gotten a fan controller on a system, and am wondering why you went with one and any sites on useful info on them you may have as I am looking into them now.

i cant speak for buff.
i went with fan controls becuse i could manualy turn them down and reduce noise when im not puting the PC under a load. like gaming etc. so usualy when im browsing the web, or something simple, i have em turned down to blessed quite. when im playing games i turn them up. turn the PC up so i can hear and just blast ppl out of the house ( ok its not that bad.. but wife might disagree...) i did have the option to let the onboard

Update #2...........
Got the Bios chip in last night and got the OS loaded, and started to load the ASUS main board Nvidia Nforce 590 drivers and promptly screwed the pooch by loading crap i dont know what it is, like some Nvidia Network Admin thingy and on reboots it wants me to set up a raid....which i dont need with 1 hd...so I'm prolly going to reformat and startover tonight.
Anyone have a good temp probe program other than ASUS PCProbe II which I read sucked and once I saw it on thescreen I knew it sucked...

LMAO surprised u never called me again last nigh then man lol.
O well when installing the drivers off the cd's for the motherboard read what each one is for before installing. some are useless to you because of your setup.
also here is a good bit of info for you buff
