First one which came to my mind is Cate Archer from the No One Lives Forever games.

would have to say that Laura Croft should be rated #1 female character in vid game history based on her recognition alone. .

I would say Laura Croft rated #1 female character based on cup size myself, but anyway PDT_Armataz_01_12

How about good character development?? Isn't that as important as boob size?

The only ones familiar to me are Lara Croft, Jaheira, Zelda, and Annah, the latter only because I used her voice in Baldur's Gate.

Cate Archer is the one I've had the most fun in games, with NOLF 1 and 2. I've only played one Tomb Raider game (actually I'm not done with Legend on my PSP yet!). Most of those are from console games and crap that I've never played.
