Downfall or "Der Untergang" is a film about the last few days of Adolf Hitler and the Third Reich. The movie is worth watching just for Bruno Ganz's mesmerizing performance as Hitler. If you have not already seen it, I highly recommend it!

I really liked Equilibrium even though it was a bit derivative since there was so much borrowed from The Matrix and 1984 in both the storyline and the look of the city and even the costume design.VEGETA wrote:Equilibrium

I've probably recommended it here before, but just in case, I heartily recommend The Valley of Gwangi.

While today's special effects make things like dinosaurs look more 'real', Ray Harryhausen's magical stop-motion animation remains a beautiful thing to behold.

Barring that, Grindhouse. A 3 hour 15 minute experience in entertainment. I didn't say top notch film making, I said entertainment. And isn't that why we watch movies anyway?

My recommendation for today is "The Madness of King George". If you are interested in historical dramas, this one is excellent.
