I know nothing about animal rights in Canada, but in the states they have classes medics and corpsmen can attend where they purposely inflict wounds on pigs, so that they can get real deal experience treating the types of wounds they are likely to encounter on a battlefield. I offered to get my rifle and bayonet from the armory, but I was promptly shut down. Bastards.
