Transformers - The Movie (NO SPOILERS)

Post by Gator »

I just got back from seeing this - thoroughly enjoyed. Classic Sci-Fi Action movie.

It actually makes me want to go out and buy and old yellow Camaro. Let's just say my little yellow Mazda 3 is now known as Bumble Bee ---

I also saw this last night and have to agree with Gator. This movie was simply classic Sci-Fi Action, and they didn't cringe away from the melodramatic feel of the original cartoon. My only complaint was that sometimes the action occurred so fast that I couldn't follow what was going on. I think they were trying to cut corners on special fx by doing a lot of close-up panning and such, which made it difficult to follow the entire shot at times. However, there are a few slo-mo scenes that really made up for it.

Can't remmeber the director but he is known for butchering thigns, so hapy to see he got this one out decently and he still had a lot to do with how the transformers look in this vs the cartoons. Tach has read a artical that he made bumble bee a camaro because he just don't liekt he bugs which is just a messed up reason to be honest. but hey he got lucky and got a decent movie lol.

I will be seeign it tonight with seom guys form the subaru club I hand with on tuesday.

Just got back from watching it, what a great flick. It had a little bit of comedy in it, which was nice. Loved the Camero (new and old) as a Transformer. This movie really brought back childhood memories of watching the cartoon on Saturday mornings.

I agree it was very enjoyable. The scene with the C-130 Spectre gunship was bad-freaking-ass.

P.S. I am going to paint my 1969 Camero in Forza 2 to look like Bumble Bee. :D

Awesome special effects! It’s about time they came out with a great movie that's worth watching. Every time I see a newer car now I’m expecting it to transform. Also , seeing it the movie theater is way better than CAM. I thought they had some good battles , and it was over all nicely done. I liked the military action where they were blowing the shit out of that Scorpion! Nice.. Now they need to make a Transformers 2 or Mech Warrior Movie. That would be cool.

i think one of the reasons for a camaro over a beetle was the licensing from the manufacturers or something...also i've heard a rumour that TF2 is already greenlighted, and that Soundwave will be in it....BEST NEWS EVER!!!

i might be wrong, in fact its probable. but i would swear bumble bee was a chevy Vega at the beggining? i dunno.

i liked the movie, simply becuse i liked transformers as a kid :P

sometimes movies are just enjoyed them most when you go in without expectations. i mean Xmen got things all screwed up. but if you can set that aside and just watch it wasnt half bad.

I am not sure what Bumblebee was in the beginning, but I know that my toy Bumblebee transformer from the '80's was not a VW Bug. It was some anonymous yellow hatchback. Coulda been a Dodge Colt for all I could tell from the toy.

That's certainly good news since he's always been my favorite Transformer.

F.Y.I.

Where did the police car go?

Where did the busted up scorpion run off to?

What happened to the 7-Up cola machine?

What happened to the Black Cadillac , after coming in contact with the cube?

Where did the X-Box go after coming in contact with the cube.

Something I was wondering myself… After looking at this post I found out a whole bunch more than I expected. If it was a deleted seen, I’ll be sure to buy the uncut movie just so I can see it.
