Most listened to music albums?

Post by PanzerMeyer »

What would you say are your top 10 most listened to albums/cd's? You know, the ones where you probably will never get tired of listening to at least once or twice a month? Just curious to see everyone's responses.

My list:

1. Eagles Greatest Hits Volume I 1971-1975
2. Creedence Clearwater Revival Greatest Hits
3. The Wall
4. Dark Side of the Moon
5. Back in Black
6. Abbey Road
7. Rubber Soul
8. Echoes (Pink Floyd Greatest Hits)
9. Meteora (Linkin Park)
10. The Police Greatest Hits

I can't answer that - I can give you my ten favorites, but I don't listen to any one of them several times a month.

In no particular order:
- Led Zeppelin III (Led Zeppelin)
- Copper Blue (Sugar)
- Warehouse Songs and Stories (Husker Du)
- Workbook (Bob Mould)
- Blonde on Blonde (Bob Dylan)
- Master of Puppets (Metallica)
- Midnite Vultures (Beck)
- Speakerboxxx/The Love Below (Outkast)
- Monster (REM)
- Check Your Head (The Beastie Boys)

I limited myself to no more than one from any single artist in order to make the list more interesting. My only violation is that Bob Mould was the singer for Husker Du and Sugar, therefore he's on the list thrice.

In no particular order:

Physical Graffiti - Led Zeppelin
Version 2.0 - Garbage
Songs from the Wood - Jethro Tull
Cypress - Let's Active
Lifes Rich Pageant - REM
Spectres - Blue Öyster Cult
Live - Steppenwolf
Dark Side of the Moon - Pink Floyd
Quadrophenia - The Who
Dreamboat Annie - Heart

Like Gator, I limited myself to one album per artist - otherwise, my list would be Led Zeppelin, Led Zeppelin II, Led Zeppelin III, etc.

I tend to become fixated on a particular album, and will listen to it over and over and over for weeks at a time. The last such was Jethro Tull's Broadsword and the Beast, an album which I didn't like at all the first time I heard it.

My answer is none as I never listen to any album that often. Ever.

Last time I did that was back when I only had a dozen or so CDs to listen to, period. So, I stopped around 1990?

I admit there are many I like more than others, but I listen to them all equally more or less. I'll listen to new ones a bit more often as I don't know them as well...actually, I'd say all the stuff released in the last 10 years or so I don't know half as well as the stuff older. After college my memory for music took a big nose dive.
