Performances of a lifetime...

Post by PanzerMeyer »

What are some movie performances that simply awed you and blew you away when you first saw them? Here's a few from me.

1. Malcolm McDowell as Alex in Clockwork Orange.

2. Peter O'Toole as TE Lawrence in Lawrence of Arabia.

3. Richard Burton as Richard Wagner in the tv miniseries Wagner.

4. Liam Neeson as Oskar Schindler in Schindler's List.

5. Rutger Hauer as Batty in Blade Runner.

That's a good one. Did she win an Oscar for that performance?

I definitely need to check out "Lonesome Dove" some day. Robert Duvall is really good in everything I've seen him in.

Great role but I think his best role ever was as Trip in "Glory".

They were indeed fantastic.

A couple more I'd like to add

Jack Nicholson as Jack Torrance in "The Shining"

Lee Ermey as Drill Instructor Hartman in "Full Metal Jacket"

Robert Redford and Brad Pit
Excellent movie with 2 excellent actors

Johnny Depp is a flexible character . So many movies he acts well in. From a soldier in Platoon to a Drug dealer , to a Pirate in the Caribbean , to Once Upon a Time in Mexico to the owner of a chocolate factory. Johnny Depp is cool IMO.
