hey Steel , I'm not saying you should modify this forum , although maybe you should create another and start charging for it? I ran into a forum last night called isohunt (which doesn't looks half as nice as your forum) and they charge 5 bucks a month for people to use their forum without the popups. I reckon they also get other privileges like an avatar or signature. Anyway this place had over 6,000 people on in one night (at one time) and I think that's about their average. So with about half of those people paying $5 bucks per month , well, ....cha-ching!

CMACG has always been free and I for one hope it stays that way. Besides, the reason why Isohunt can charge is because they are providing a service with a tangible end product. I don't think we're offering the same thing. Now, if you wanted to talk about setting up a donation jar of sorts, that may be more feasible.
ok , giving the benefit of the doubt that my last post was miss-interpreted , lets make this clear shall we. I was using isohunt for an example. All I was suggesting is that the host of this forum ( a master crafter of forum building. ) build another forum or web site that can bring in some cash flow. It's an honest proposition. From what I've collected , isohunt is not full of hackers , although nerds and geeks do hang out their. So okay , lets forget isohunt for minute... now would it be possible for a master forum engineer to build something like this that can turn over some cash flow after a year or so? Well I'd like to think so.

aye , sorry Buff , I forgot to put on a happy face in my last post. : ) It just struck me that anyone who could create a half ass forum with a few bit BitTorrents would be so sucessful. Six Thousand people visiting this site at one time is pretty amazing I think. So Woot ! : )

why are there bit torrents of iso's of cd's, if not for pirating? i am not sure what isohunt is for if not that... i mean, if you have the cd you can make your own iso, no?
i have tried thinking about some type of site that makes money, but what? and the other issue is that if you use software such as this for a business, you have to pay to lciense it. it might be worth it, might not...
