me and my friend were just talking about this now. I thought it was another Godzilla but he don't think so. I'm looking it up right now to see what all the hubbub is about.

Trippy stuff ,

Ok spell Cloverfield backwards.. You get Dleifrevolc and that brings us to this video. Now my friend thinks it might be Gamma . but after watching the video I have high hopes it's the Transformers.

Heh. Not Godzilla, not Voltron, not Cthulhu...

JJ Abrams was in Japan with his son and they saw some Godzilla toys and he thought, "We need a monster of our own." Presumably he meant we Americans. Anyway - this movie is the result.

So there really IS something big down there in the depths - bigger than a blue whale. As Mr Spock would say, "Fascinating."

Perhaps containing SLUSHO!

Interesting, that review doesn't match the other reviews I've read - in terms of the sequence of events in the movie, that is. One way or another, we'll know for sure tomorrow night.

Well, I saw it.
Brief summary: Godzilla meets Blair Witch. Less explanation, no Hollywood ending.
This is neither an endorsement nor a put down. Your opinion may vary.

I think they should make a sequel to it , but this time get rid of the guy running around with the camera. They left off leaving you wondering what became of the monster and it’s babies , and the city for that matter. Tho i still enjoyed it ;)

I think the name of the movie is a big clue as to what became of the city... that is, based on what I learned watching the History Channel's 'Life After People'.

Hardly surprising since the movie made a huge profit. The budget for Cloverfield was only 25 million which by todays standards is VERY modest.
