I installed my new Freezer 64 Pro today, was very easy to install and it fits perfect in my case. I am getting 49 degrees Celsius at idle, but the fan is running at about 800 RPM, that's MUCH lower than the stock HSF; which was running at something like 3000-4000 RPM. I'll be monitoring the CPU temps as I play games and such, and I really like how quiet the fan on this Freezer 64 Pro HSF is. :D

Glad you like that Heatsink SB my CPU runs about 46-47C idling and doesn't go above 57 MAx after gaming but that is max though.

Looks like they only do AMD CPU Coolers.

to be honest it was between these 2

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6835186134

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6835185027

It was a tough choice to be honest, both had great reviews, the one I have on the way (second one here) has a bigger fan and such running lower rpm. Sopose to be llower db rating so quieter so went with it and the top where the heat rubes end looks cleaner on this one. So I want a good looking system lol.

That second one you linked looks like it would be a PITA to install, especially with the Intel install clamps on each corner. Go with the Freezer 7 Pro.

The freezer 7 Pro is what I installed - it's a tight fit with the evga board's heat-sink on the chipset. Tight, but it does fit. quiet and effective.

Ok so help me understand, I think I got it but I just had my brain handed to me sideways after looking at indepth and extensive network troubleshooting for XP and Vista for my MCDST and MCITP respectively. I maybe wrong here but the freezer 7 pro sits on top of the processor but not directly ontop like a standard heatsink/fan setup right. If so how in the hell does it cool off the damn CPU!?! Yes I read the specs but it still defies logic in my head right now.

This is the one I'm looking at due to the configuration of my access panel. http://www.arctic-cooling.com/cpu2.php?idx=151&disc=

The freezer will not fit due to its verticle configuration.

It's available in the states. I used to get Fraoch and Grozet at the Liquor Barn (huge place, they got everything) in Lexington. Never seen 'em in a regular old liquor store, tho.

Ok I am not inclined to purchase the Freezer Pro due to the tunnel and vent that I have on my access panel of my case. I'm guessing it won't fit but I can't seem to find the Alpine 7 pro for socet 775 at a place I trust to make the purchase from. I guess I have to go visit micro center and see if they have it onsite since their site dosen't and thats where arctic cooling says you can buy it from. What do they call that tunnel that sits over the CPU for obvious venting purposes. This the first time I have ever seen that.

Well I just took another look at the "TUNNEL" and I can take it off so I can get the Freezer pro. So that is what I will be ordering tonight since one of my blades on my fan mysteriously broke and now I got a vibration out of this world (must be out of balance or something), I stop the fan and the vibration and noise is gone. Who knew one blade could upset the delicate balance of a CPU fan!
