This series is so misleading , I'm going to go with Tech on this one and start thinking out of the box. Good analogy Panz. But if Starbuck is not a cylon , then who are the 12. I counted up to 11 ' plus her' , but now... im not so sure after this last episode. Can someone name them in order ? What cylones are on the BSG fleet and who is on the cylone Fleet.

Starbuck could be a Prophet?
To fulfill the prophets means to obey and practice the demands of God in the scriptures or paintings. I just made that up : )

Starbuck could very well be a prophet. It has been mentioned a couple of times in the series that she has a "special destiny".

Cylons located with the cylon fleet: Doral, Brother Cavil, D'Anna, Caprica 6 (one clone on Galactica), Leoben, Simon, and Boomer (Athena version on Galactica).

Cylons on Galactica: Tyrol, Tigh, Tory, Sam.

Well if Starbuck is a cylon surely that means she could bring the entire cylon fleet to our doorstep right now since she obviously knows our location. So if Cylon and reborn and given a new fighter by the cylons why send her back to the Galactica?? Just send the entire Cylon fleet to Earth! I think she is a prophet of some kind.

Plus in previous episodes Six has repeatedly said that what is happening now has happened before and will happen again. So maybe Humans have made AI before thousands of years ago and then been attacked and than had to search for a new home which became Cobal they then left Cobal and spread out to the new 12 colonies after Cobal became to crowded/overpopulated and they developed space travel again.

Earth will be like the new Cobal and maybe we will spreadout to new colonies again and the cycle will begin again. The Cylons are part of the cycle and as such some become integrated into our race which would explain why chief and the others are Cylons and apparantly have been for a long long time even before the Cylons evolved into the Skin jobs from Toasters.

As that is the biggest Question for me, If Chief, Sam,Tigh and boomer and Tory have been Cylons all along for as long as they remember (we have seen flash backs of Tigh and Adama together for about 20 years roughly) it means that either Cylons evolved into Skin jobs not long after the first Cylon war 50 years ago or they have already been amongst humans for a lot longer than we know.

On another point if Adama is a Cylon that makes Apollo a Cylon, which makes 2 Cylons which is one extra, so another thing to think about.

The president is prophesised to die before she reaches earth from disease (Cancer) a Cancer she hads been cured of before by being injected by Cylon blood, so if she is a Cylon why has her Cancer returned if Cylons can't get Cancer.

So to conclude Either Starbuck is the remaining Cylon and Cylons have been integrated with Humans for a long time and this is a recurring cycle of which humans and Cylons are inexplicably linked hence some become integrated into our race after the majority get wiped out somehow or she is a Prophet.

If Adama is a Cylon then Apollo is one also and hence 1 extra Cylon?

President is one but does not have immunity like the others but is going to die before she gets to earth anyway.

Boomer still annoys the hell outta me!

Or it's Lt Gata (and why the hell not)

I don't think the opening credits would lie about them being Cylons! Talk about being confusing for viewers!

Oh, I've seen the rumor that Dualla could be the 12th Cylon. It makes a certain amount of sense.
I also could construct a scenario in which Hera is the 12th, even though only half-Cylon. :)

The 5 year story arc of Babylon 5 is every bit as good as BSG's. The advantages BSG has is better CGI and better quality guest stars.

Ok having just watched Razor, Starbuck is now in a dimm light, Since at the end of the episode Major Shaw talks to the Hybrid Cylon onboard the Cylon base ship and is told that Starbuck "Will lead your kind to it's end, she is the Harbringer of doom and they must not follow her!"

So if the Cylon hybrid is to be believed, does he mean that Starbuck will lead the Fleet to Earth but also bring the Cylons along for the ride (either by them following or her being the last Cylon)and in doing so bring about the destruction of the Fleet and Earth?

The plot thickens.

And that's exactly why no one should watch Razor before they finish season 3!

Razor is a great movie. Admiral Cain is one of the best sci-fi characters ever created.

I came across some interesting info,

When Starbuck's fighter blows up, you can hear an old cylon model (the ones from Razor and the original series) say what sounds like "By your command." It is right during the explosion. You may have to listen very closely to it to hear it but it is there.

Listen carefully about 48 seconds into the video clip,

Sorry Panz that's no Cylon that a groaning sound of her ship blowing up! Yes it does have the same tone as the old Cylon models in this clip but it's not actually speach, I listened to it on that clip and on my DVD player and it's a lot clearer on my DVD it's a large Groaning sound of her ship just as it explodes. Definitely no speech.

Hmm..I just listened to it again and I could swear I hear "By your.." and then it gets cut off by the explosion.

Thanks for checking it out though!

The sound you hear is from a guitar when the music starts playing.

I loved the last episode of Season 4 BTW, it left me wanting more. This is a great start to the last season, they are certainly not disappointing the fans. :)

Yeah, it was a great episode. We now have what seems to be a Cylon civil war on our hands. Quite fascinating.

Just a thought, it the tosters are actually smart but until now dumbed down using that device they removed, can they also talk ??? they could back in the day so why not now right. So far after they smartened up there way of communication was to um show a little force with lead. If they are ticked over the raiders being dumbed down again wuld they be mad for being dumbed down themselves already ??

also when the boomer cylon voted for the dumbing down of raiders they said this was the first time this had pahhaned, um this is not true. when they forced baltar to sign the death warrants, the 6 who was still in love with Baltar was not in on it and one of the other 6's also said "most of us are anyway" showing most of them where fine with it but not the 1. So um this is the second time we know of.

There was no reason for them to talk in that scene. They were there to do one thing only and it wasn't to speak! Anyway, we've only seen them in that one short scene with the inhibitors removed so its probably too early to assume that they cant talk just because they didn't talk in that short scene.

Ok, I am going to have to watch Season 4 over from the beginning, or the last episode of Season 3; Where the heck is Apollo going? I know he is leaving the Galactica, but I must have missed where he said he was going.
