Post by VEGETA »

First Tach you wish is here, now wish for Serenity to come back man maybe it will happen to

O so long flash gorden, the show that never had a hope in hell right form the start.

Second ghost in a shell will be made into a 3d live action something or other movie.

So they may do ghost in a shell right or screw it up completely, we will see.

A lot of sci-fi shows have been cancelled within the past year.

1. Flash Gordon
2. 4400
3. Dresden Files
4. Jericho
5. Bionic Woman
6. The Dead Zone
7. Journeyman

In the case of Flash Gordon, it failed because the producers chose to take the overly "campy" route with the show. I mean, it's ok for a sci-fi show to have some comedy and off the cuff stuff from time to time but the general tone of the entire show was campy and it sucked.

it fealt like a kids show turned into a sci fi show idea.

As for the rest Jerico will be missed that was a cool one. Bionic woman the villain IE starbuck was better then the main actors so ya that was done before it started. 4400 been around a while, tho never big in my books. Journeyman I know tach is ticked over as he says it was good and reviews loved it yet they canceled it.

In many cases with both film and tv, positive reviews does not necessarily mean good ratings or box office performance.

Journeyman was excellent. I was skeptical at first - sounded too much like Quantum Leap - but it soon won me over. And then... POOF, gone. NBC = staffed by idiots. But they're not alone. Someone pulled the plug way too soon on Firefly, too, and on Wonderfalls, and on My So-called Life...

It obviously wasn't enough people to prevent the show from being cancelled.

Oh yeah, no doubt. There were several shows that were on the "bubble" so to speak and the writers strike was pretty much the nail in the coffin for them.

I watched about half of the pilot episode and then turned off the tv. It was just way too cheesy and goofy for my tastes.

The Bionic Woman got slated over here from the first show( (only started here about 3 weeks ago), especially with her really bad high speed running it looked so unrealistic/pathetic the local comedy shows took the piss straight away and quite rightly so.

That British actress though who played the lead role in Bionic Woman was nice looking at least. PDT_Armataz_01_01
