Lee mentioned it to his father during the last episode. He was nominated by Zarek to replace one of the Quorum members and he accepted. He will be going off to whichever ship the fleet uses for the Quorum member meetings and where the civilian government is actually run.

I have listened to this point again in the DVD set I have several times now, and there is definitely no Speach, but there is a large groaning sound that does sound on the same frequency as the old Cylons used to speak, but that's definitely all it is a groaning sound of her Viper straining before it implodes. It's very clear on my DVD but not so in the many flash backs or reshowings in the briefing room with Lee and the admiral watching, in these circumstances it does sound different but still no speach.

I believe this to be one of those circumstances where someone says if you listen close enough you can hear "X" and if you do you can, but it does not mean that it's there. It's just you making it be there as the sound is so vague you think well yes i think i can make out "X" but actually "X" was never there, like the Devil worshiping chants on records played backwards, which then turns into conspiracy theories and so on.

I concur. No Cylon would draw out that "Byyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy your" like it sounds. It's just groaning metal done pretty well. As you said, on the DVD the sound is very clear compared to the online clips.

It must definitely be an advanced but now dead alien race that put it there so that we would spot it millenia in the future after they died out, to let us know that we were not the only ones to evolve into inteligent life (if you consider humans to be intelligent life). We must go there now and find out what other technological leaps and information they have left for us!

That or it's just a bit of dumb luck that the orbiting satellite took a picture of another bunch of ordinary low level hills on Mars at the same time as the shadows made it look like a human face.
