What games do you want to play more of?

Post by PanzerMeyer »

Not counting flight sims, which games would you want our group to play more of?

I noticed a couple nights ago that Softball and Gator were playing Quake Wars. I'd like to play this game with our group. Jedi and I also have it. Also, who has UT 3 besides me, Jedi and Veg? I wouldn't mind playing that more as well.

I also have quakewars as of Tuesday and was playing with Softbal and Gator in a imprompted game yesterday in it. Its rather similar to BF2 sort of game, but more objectives. Gator, Softball and myself also have UT3. Also toss in some of us do have team fortress 2 which I have been spending some time on with my old UT3004 group. Arma still fun but graw 2 well done all the missions and maps, eh its just not that fun as there i no new content in the darn thing. if we had more maps then maybe there

I definitely would like to do more ArmA with you guys but I'm pretty much burned out on GRAW 2.

I'd also like to do some more Company of Heroes.

Which difficulty was the AI on? Was it you 3 vs 3 AI?

With Age of Conan just around the corner (May 20th), you will likely see even less of me during the week, but I am up for whatever type of game. Lately, I've preferred to play RTS style games, I think I enjoy myself more playing those type of games in MP COOP matches.

Yea, we were train wrecked. We had 1/2 the map taken, and then the AI came back with a vengeance. The AI pushed us back with lots and lots of tanks, for which we weren't setup to defend against. They squished Veg, then Gator, and myself last. I'm guessing that's just because of the map layout, as I was the farthest away from the AI on the map. The AI was set on normal, and we played 3 vs 3 on a 3 vs 3 map. I could not defend or build fast enough to push back his tank force.

Jedi and Panzer, you guys should really consider getting Supreme Commander. It's a much slower paced game and it's very different from all other RTS games. I know there is a demo for it, but I'm pretty sure it's no where near what the full version of the game represents. Anyway, I'm just saying you should consider it if you find it on sale somewhere.

Huh, I'm very surprised to hear that the AI was set on normal! Were you guys playing as Allies? The Germans seem to have the advantage when it comes to tanks and assault guns.

I'll let Ger know that you guys play COH. He will most likely join you.

I still prefer FPS and Flight sims. If I had my way, we would fly Falcon once a week, but my own schedule makes it tough to keep a group up and running for it. I like playing lock on, but not as much as IL2 and Falcon. Something about it just sort of bores me even though it is beautiful looking sim.

I would like to play more
ArmA

GRAW 2 if new maps come out

Original Ghost Recon, I still love this game.

American Army-haven't heard about the upgrades, but there was talk about this for a bit. Any news?

Ravenshield. I will still install and play this.

NWN 2.

Sorry I'm not really an RTS guy, which is funny because I'm actually pretty good at strategy based games. I just get bored sitting there for some reason.

I would like to play a Star Wars based flight sim if and when someone puts together a realism mod. I'm sure there are some out there, but I've never had time to research it. There were some cool modding in the space sim industry a couple years back. Anyhow, with our busy schedules, that's more than plenty.

Kinda like they did in the war. We just went with a quantity over quality approach. The Sherman was a death trap, an 88mm would go thru several in one shot

I beg to differ Buff. The Sherman armor worked great. A shell could penetrate the hull, but it wouldn't go out the other side. No, it would rattle around in there instead. LOL. definite death trap.

The Sherman Firefly with its high velocity 75mm gun was a worthy adversary against most German tanks but it still didn't have as much armor protection.

Tin coffins have more protection. But the 75mm was a nice cannon. Not as cool as the wave motion gun mind you, but still cool.

the sherman firefly did not have a 75mm gun. it had the british 17 pounder, which was approximately 76mm (76.2 i beleive).

Ah, in that case then it had a very similar gun to what the T-34/76 had.
