Indy 4 - Kingdom of Crystal Skull

Post by PanzerMeyer »

I saw this last night and I liked it about as much as I like Temple of Doom. However, I think Raiders of the Lost Ark and Last Crusade are far better. The interaction between LeBeouf and Ford was fine but it wasn't anything incredible like what Ford and Connery had in Last Crusade. What's interesting is that my reaction to Crystal Skull is pretty much the same as my initial reaction to Phantom Menace. I liked both movies on first viewing while feeling that there were certain flaws that prevented it from being as good as their respective predecesors. And in both cases I was NOT expecting some kind of uber movie which would blow me away.

I'll be seeing this tomorrow (Monday). I'm not expecting a Raiders of the Lost Ark performance, but I think it will be fun to watch.

wow man temple of doom sucks HARD, honestly its a hell of a LOT better then that. Its not the best movie I have ever seen, but the acting was good, it was a fun ride tho a little far fetched, especially the fridge part. But in the end the old movies had some dam far fetched spots to, but it stayed true to a general story type for these movies, just a great ride, sit down watch and have fun.

Yeah, him hiding in the refrigerator and then getting thrown a mile or two and landing perfectly fine was a stretch. :-)

I think what Crystal Skull was missing was a convincing and compelling villain like Belloch. The interaction between Shia LeBeouf and Indy was ok but nothing special.

Huh?? What spoiler? I dont think so.

A spoiler is revealing a major plot point like someone getting killed or someone being a traitor or revealing the ending.

Why would a part of the movie be reviled? Do people hate it for some reason?

He misspelled "revealed." The bit with the fridge was a surprise that he feels you're spoiling.

Since we mentioned the fridge. I feel IT is far fetched indeed. But then again, we're talking about and Indian Jones film...sooooo it was fun. I enjoyed it and would watch it again.
