SO the install procedure is now asking me to register the OS. If I skip that, how do ACTIVATE the install?

you can activate it once installed to. I perfer to get installed get online then activate the sucker

I figured it out. Apparently, it automatically activated, but something must've gone wrong on the initial install. This time around, everything worked. Sigh. what a royal pain in the ass.
