Watchmen

Post by Tach Deneva »

Anybody here read the graphic novel? Well, if not, you can watch the movie. Here's hoping they don't screw it up too much.

Well, they're not all guys. So technically it should be Watchpersons. Just like X-men should be X-People. How uncanny is that!

So... anybody else seen this yet? Purp and I saw it today. Pretty darned accurate replication of the comic book. The guy playing Rorshach nailed the part.

If you're planning on seeing it, and if you're not familiar with the source material, be advised: this is NOT Batman or Iron Man or Spider-man. Don't take the kids, unless you're sure they can handle *graphic* violence with lots of blood and gore. There's a sex scene, and some nudity, and some raw language as well. It's rated R for a reason.

Of course, that didn't stop people from bringing their kids to the theater today...

Also saw trailers for Star Trek and Wolverine. Both look good.

I'm planning on seeing this when I am healthy again. I've been sick for the last 5 days, so I havent really been up to going to the movies. I have some free tickets to the theater, so I will use them accordingly.

Yea, I heard about the big blue package that gets ummm exposed onscreen, definately not a movie for kids. Lol!

Never even knew this was based on a comic book until someone at work mentioned it. I know the movie was #1 at the box office this weekend.

Hondo ended up taking his girlfriends kid to see it, OOPs, he admits his own dumb fault for not lisining to movie rating at least unlike some otut here complaining that its suppose to be a comic book movie. Sure but um I can toss comic books in front of them that make this look like a children movie lol. I mean take a look at some Manga.

It was a 12-issue mini-series back in the 80s, so yeah, comic book first. Later, it was put into 'graphic novel' format.
