Yellowstone - Ka-BOOMIE?
"Shoo! Shoo! Go away! Oh God, he's got a monkey." -- Ms Purple
That’s so odd that you bring that up today Tech. I felt a small quake in my garage today and then decided to look it up on the internet. It took me awhile , and I never did find out exactly where it came from. It was just before 1:00 pm here in So Cal , and according to the USGS Earth Quake Program it came from San Francisco. or up by Lassen Volcanic National Park 40 miles west of Redding where I once lived. I drove to Lassen one time and was smelling the sulfur bubbling up out of the ground. But today I’m still unsure where the epicenter was. Although I did find out some interesting things along the way while looking for it.
I was mostly concerned with the recent activity happening every day. I wonder if something like a big blow out is on the way. At first I thought I was being led to Mammoth Mountain and had a awkward feeling about that. This Mountain has been getting ready to blow for several years now. I drove up there and saw several dead trees at the top , about 10 years ago. The city is in the bowl of the Volcano itself. Poor bustards.
I kept looking on the internet for awhile before I gave up and called it quits. But here are some links I found along the way.

I haven’t actually found out where The Geysers is in southern California yet. I have three different locations when I look them up on Google. One above San Francisco , one near Laflin Nevada , and the other near Lassen Park in northern California. Anyway , It sure is an active mountain , and pecked my interest. I’ll need to investigate it further to locate it. The web site does provide latitude and longitude which is something I haven’t had the chance to take advantage of yet.

After looking into it a bit further ,… there is so much activity over here. Something is going on. But when will it crack open is anyone’s guess.

We have some lovely homes just a few short miles away from an active volcano. Come and get a discount price while it last!

Well I defanetly felt that one! Might be some pre-shocks. Hmmmm.. Good thing I have my Jeep gassed up. I might have to pull a Charlton Heston here and evacuate people to higher ground.
