BSG....WTF?
unless I failed math....thats 6 not 5 cylons.......or they are all cylons....I have an ice cream headache now.......
SPOILER BELOW!!!!!
Yeah I'll definitely watch it again. Yeah there is 6 not 5. There is no doubt in my mind that Starbuck is a cylon. It may well be that she was not originally a cylon, but somehow I think the evidence yields that she was; her dreams of the great eye just scream 1's and 0's if you get my meaning. In any case, she is one now. Certainly, I'm not the least bit surprised that Tye's wife is the probably the real "fifth"

It's my own personal theory that Starbuck is the reincarnation of either one of the Colonial gods or a Lord of Kobol. As for the "harbinger of death", my educated guess right now is that Starbuck will do something or say something that will break the ongoing cycle of "this has happened before and will happen again". In other words, something will happen from her actions that will cause this human/cylon conflict to end for good and it wont restart again. That would seem to fall in line with the other part of her prophecy "she will lead them to their end".

Well that doesn't make any sense at face value but if that does turn out to be the case on the show then I'm sure Ron Moore will find a good way of explaining it!daofcmacg wrote:Here;s a good one.

What has really made sense in this serious, come on now! Yes there are six but they want you to doubt what you see! Remember you have to take things that develop in the bigger picture sense. They showed cut scene's of starbuck growing up so now they have to explain that as well if she is a Cylone and now I am wondering who are the truely special beings in this series? HUMANS or CYLONES!?!? You decide.

"Once upon a time, in what used to be a far away land called Hollywood (but is now a state of mind and everywhere), a young actor was handed a script and asked to bring to life a character called Starbuck. I am that actor. The script was called 'Battlestar Galactica.'"

Starbuck has built in blankets?
I think I was trying to say someone has their panties in a bunch because they didnt get a role in BSG, and is living in denial that "his" BSG was not one of the goofiest POS series in TV history. I mean I remember watching the original series and thinking it sucked, the acting was horrible and the special effects were.....well lacking. It was like 8 is enough in space type of acting.
Its not society that changed.... its the fact that his version sucked, big time....like porn style suckage...with no money shot type of suckage.
Their worlds got destroyed.....they are in the vastness of space, running for their lives and this Fstick thinks they should be all sitting around serving tea and cupcakes...(see even used a Jane-isum there). Its supposed to be dark end of humanity type of things. This guy is a has been tool who has been wearing 70's tinted glasses of wonder too dang long.
But thats just me.....YMMV

The fundamental difference here is that the original BSG was made and catered for a kid and teenager audience. The new BSG was made and catered for an adult audience. The vast majority of the differences between the two shows stems from that fundamental shift.

Or Adama!! O.OPanzerMeyer wrote:Incredible episode this past Friday. Crap, I'm wondering now if Tigh is alive or not. :-(
Kind of shocking that the security for the Galactica would even follow Geata over Adama after his "duties" on New Caprica.
And Starbuck should have killed all of the rebels in the hangar bay.
