Bush is no longer President

I honestlay am not a big Obama or a MCcAin fan for that fact but to be honest I hate Bush, he has not been good for the US. So happy to see him go.

today was an extraordinary day in the history of the United States. regardless of how he performs or how much folks like or dislike him, a black man was sworn in as President of the United States.

i am happy it happened in my lifetime.

Unlike others, I dont get caught up with the celebrity-like cult status of Mr. Obama and thus I ignore the fact of what his skin color is. I have nothing against him personally but I have fundamental differences with his political ideology. I dont give a crap what your skin color or race is if I dont like your ideology.

i had no clue he had a celebrity-like cult status? nor that it was related to his skin color or that such was to be ignored because of a celebrity-like cult status, if said actually exists.

the world is no where near being able to say that skin color or race can be ignored, unfortunately. not even here in the united states.

i don't necessarilly like or dislike him, i did not vote for him and did not want him in the position he is now is, but the fact remains that history was made today and at least i am happy it happened in my life time.

ya there was something on discovery chanal show called "daily planet" (its Canadian) about his new limo (ita science news show) but they said he has 10 balls to attend and crap. Something like 1million showed up for the swearing in.

I admit I would take Obama over MCcAne as I just hate him more lol. But to me I am mory happy to be getting Bush out, but realy bush being out of office is going to put a lot of comedians out of work,

So if you do like someone's ideology, does that mean you "would" care what color their skin is? Your comment seems somewhat slanted.

Obama taking office just put him at a higher magnification under the microscope. I am not much for politics, but I'm waiting to see what happens from here on out.

You obviously have misunderstood my clear statement. I was saying that I vote for someone based on what their ideology/beliefs are irrespective of what their race/skin color is. It seems many people are simply happy that an African American got elected REGARDLESS of what his political beliefs are and I think that is a flawed attitude. Just my opinion of course.

you should seperate the fact that you dislike the beliefs, etc. and just look at the fact that a black man was elected President on our lifetime. that is what i am saying i am happy about. i do not agree with his beliefs, political party (for the most part), etc. two separate issues.

I believe that he will try and help every man woman and child stand on their own two feet and given a chance to do what the select few can do. Thats what President Obama is about.

I can't believe some of the stuff I just read here, I am so disappointed. this man truely has Joe the plumbers best interest at heart and you can't even see it. Yes it will be somewhat business as usual but he is truely out to make a difference for us the common American. Yes change is hard as hell but its necessary and him being Black only makes this whole process that much more monumental and tragic at the same time. You have no grounds for insinuating that I'm a racist. I've shown crystal clear in my previous posts that I did not vote for Obama because of his political ideology and NOT because of his race. I guess your misguided rage prevented you from seeing that clearly.

Panzer I would like to apologize for using you as a lab rat. I knew your response would be that and no I am not calling you a racist at all maybe the topic but you no. If anything you guys should be calling me one for my statements at the end.

An old girlfriend of mine once told me when she was madly in love with me that she wished I could be her for 4 seconds, I would truely know how much she loved me (of course this was in the begining of the relationship towards the end it was more like you would know how much I want you dead, that tends to happen when you turn down a woman's marriage proposal). If you guys could be me for 4 seconds you would know how my life as a black man African American or of African (whatever is the politically correct term these days) Decent truely is. But you can't so I had to kind of do a reverse psychology on you, again sorry about using you Panzer as a crash test dummy even though you did leave yourself wide open for that one.

Here's the skinny as I know it, when President Obama won I won. It was like I was up there taking that oath. In my mind he washed away being called a Nigger in Rockford or the white people fearing me just because I enter a room. He made the pain tolerable for me to live in a land that I feel truely dosen't accept me.

Buff I'm not playing the race card, I'm a little smarter than that but yes your right President Obama needs to do what he can in these first hundred days cause once his newness wears off and the politicians finds out its ok to bring on the full scale frontal assault without fear of the race card being played then he will a sitting duck with many crosshairs on him. Also he will be under a microscope and what past Presidents could do and get away with (President Clinton, President Bush, President Regan just to name a few) he will not be able to do. There is no race there or plight its just what it is plain and simple.

Thats all I got to say about that subject.
