Impressive

Post by Softball »

Wow, that's pretty impressive. It's amazing what someone can do if they put their mind to it. The ammo box PC makes "portable" a whole new name. I am wondering why they put a 1G, and not something faster? Seems almost like a waste, all that work and only a 1 Gig CPU!? I mean seriously. Either way, it's a cool idea.

cool - but that kind of thing is exactly what my company does...designs systems to fit as densely as possible.

that thing is very similar to the PCX machines that are now our desktop standard... i wonder if you can get a decent motherboard and video card into that thing...for game performance. but it is not bad as a semi-portable desktop.

Cases

Post by Hudson »

Yes, and the Shuttle SB61G2 is a very sweet case. I just received the last parts for my new computer and it's dense, but oh so joyiously fast.

http://www.us.shuttle.com/specs2.asp?pro_id=283

Add in 3.2 GHz P4 with HyperThreading, 1 GB DDR400 PC3200 RAM, 36GB SATA150 10,000 RPM HDD with 8 MB Cache, Wireless Mouse, Keyboard, NIC, and 256MB Radeon 9800 Pro, 52x Plexwriter Pemium CD-RW and it also spells PURE SPEED.

I ran through the first map on RvS campaign last night and was tearing up the place. Who said a faster computer does make a better player. Unbelievable the difference in the way everything looks, moves, and sounds.

8O - no surprise there mate! I recently upped my specs to something a little more impressive and the difference can be seen online when I play RvS with everyone. Hope you enjoy it!

And while we are looking at case mods - try this site:

Hope those links work!
