Airshow.....check it out

Post by Buffalo Six »

About a month ago some of the 352nd helped on a project.

I'm in one of the spits (SJ-K) taking off in formation near the end....

It was fun but I was really trying not to frack things up....the movie turned out really really good.

Pretty cool Buff, I love the "in cockpit" shots.

I really wish I could find the time to install the IL2 mods and fly with you guys. I have a TrackIR 4 that I'm just dying to use.

Yes it came out very nice. Like I said, I just did a formation take off, and if you notice....when the spits come back to the show line.....there are only 3....my formation flying skillage was not really up to snuff.

It was pretty cool to take part in...for the most part I sat in the cockpit for a long time then we rolled out for take off...and had to do that a few times to get it to look right.

If anyone is interested in the sound pack thats in that video....let me know, I'll upload my folder to the ftp and write up the instructions on how to place them....its not too hard (cut and paste) but the sounds are very very good....I swear the Merlin and the Packard Merlin, and the Pratt Whitney give me a woodie

I'll try to do this this weekend for those interested. The rest of the week is busy as we are testing the spawn points on the CCM airbases and prepping for a squadron mission flying B17D's from Calif. to Clark Field in the Philippines. Its a pretty cool set up, we fly from a airbase to the edge of the map. Air start on the next map and fly to a base and basically follow the pre-war air bridge to Clark via Hawaii, Midway, Wake, N.G., Austraila etc... All in all 12 missions, most at night in a frackign pig of a airplane. The D model handles like a drunken sailor on the ground, making taxiing a nightmare.

I still need to get the Mod we are using installed, and yes I would be interested in the sound pack.

ok...this sound pack is a separate mod done buy a friend of some of the 352nd guys. He helps our map makers with textures for buildings and stuff.
this is optional.....all it takes is replacing one folder. Thats all. Just backup the folder your replacing in case murphy shows up.

No steel, I have not, heck I haven't even installed the UI 1.1 mod yet....no time between all this stuff. But I have not seen a plethora of "why is this written in Russian" posts anywhere.... I'll ask those that should know something if i can remember to do it. Until you just asked, I had forgotten about it. sorry
