An old high school buddy is returning home from Afganistan (actually he is already back in the states.....) and next Sat. we are havign a welcome home party for him.
I'm doing my chocolate chipolte ribs....
and here they are nestled down for a 6 hour smoke........
I have 8 racks to do.....4 today and 4 on sunday......=)

After 6 hours..........
and here are 2 racks ready to be deboned....these ribs will be served fajita style!
Now rinse and repeat tomorrow...........

Ever since he retired from the military he's been AWOL except for maybe 1 or 2 posts he made about 2 years ago.

He hasn't been here for a good year or two. Last I remember he was going through some treatment for cancer. Hopefully he has recovered from it.

i talked with him relatively recently. He seemed fine. At that time, he was working near London. I forget the name of the company, but they build people mover trains for airports and such. I think he's flying online with a European outfit (due to time-zone constraints).
