Same thing as me; sitting in a sedentary job. Running for 40 minutes probably burns less than a couple hundred calories. Awesome return on investment, huh? Make sure you're eating over the course of the day, rather than just a couple big meals. Run. If you want to lose weight run (or bike, elliptical, whatever). Putting weight over your head is great exercise but it's not going to make you lose weight. You should do those things too, cause more muscle is better, but running is going to help get the fat off the most.

Don't be afraid of some initial weight gain; you may put on some muscle before burning much fat; the nice thing though that muscle will take more to maintain so eventually it will help you burn off the fat.

Above all, don't be gay, sparky; don't be gay.

I only pay $15 a month . There are GYM’s out there that can give you a great deal with low or no money down. . My GYM is call Fitness 19. I referred a few people to the GYM and they have lowered my Monthly payment to just $15.

I’ve found that working out at home is not as good as going to the GYM. People want to get out and see other people. When your working out at home it becomes tedious and chances are that you’ll cave in and leave them weights alone to start picking up the same routine once again. Snaking , Chips , TV , Relaxing…. Hmm should I go work out …? NAH! I’m doing just fine watching the boob tube with this bag of chips in my hand.

See , leaving your house to go and work out at the GYM once in awhile gets tedious too , but you know that when you get to the GYM you’ll mostly see the same people working out there , and maybe that hottie that’s been staring at you for the last few weeks. Then , and only then , you start to want to work out and pump weights.

Speaking about running. Your average GYM has several running machines to pick and choose from. I was working out on them but it takes about another 15 minutes of my time and sometimes I wont want to be there that long. That’s why I started using the leg Machines to work out my knees and legs. I actually get my legs fit in about half the time. But yeah, I’m not burning anywhere near as much calories. I think it’s mostly in your genes. If you have a over weight mom or dad then , chances are that your gong to be over weight too. How you want to deal with it is up to you. You can be an over weight person and still fell fit. Several people out there are just large people and some of them are muscular as well. Ok , who can give me an example…? I know I know! Who’s that guy that played as a black Ninja assassin and has a slanted eye. He was also in Platoon. Anyway ! , He’s just a large person. Always has been. Alright …Poof , I’m out of here….

last time I tried tried dieting I lost decent weight fast. I would love to get back down to about 200lb. which with my build is what I should be at. But that dieting thing can be a pain in but. But at least initially just diet walking and such helps me out here. But gym I find a pain. To be honest Falker that hottie an't looking at me when at the gym either lol. this may sound wierd but before I hgit a gym I want to be in a bit better shape so I don't look dumb lol.

But again hopping the summer to get out more, besides riding a motorcycle which everyone tells me dose build up mussels u did not know you had depending on how you ride, bycle riding (I use to ride a mountain bike a lot, I could get form my house to work at home depot faster on bike then I could in a car lol) and doing some walking with dog should help a lot. also paintball every second weekend and out working in the grage is more. Basically need to spend more time doing things I think.

I don't have a problem with going to the gym or missing workouts because I'm trying to make a lifestyle not just a diet. I WANT to workout. I WANT to be healthy. So I consider myself ambitious enough. I have had enough of the sedentary lifestyle to last me a lifetime.

Hudson- Yeah I was talking to the an athletics guy on staff at the high school today and he basically said everything you just did here. I'm going to adjust my eating routine to roughly six smaller meals during the course of the day, where dinner is my largest meal as it is the only one I really have time to enjoy anyway. I'm also planning on working out AFTER dinner from now on, or as much as possible. It's actually easier for me to workout right after school, but it's not as effective I'm sure. Thanks for the advice man.

yes - smaller meals, and i would try cutting to 1200 calories per day ofr a few days to see how it affects you. you need to do 30+ minutes of aerobic excercise, you should start seeing the pounds go away after a couple of weeks.

Well Steel, I'm getting in the exercise for sure. I think I can swing 1200 calories for a few days this weekend. I don't eat much when I'm active. See if that helps kick my metabolism on. I'll keep at it. See if I can get past this plateau.

Smaller portions and more, smaller meals seems to be a good way to keep the fire burning. Since dinner is my favorite meal, I'll eat a little heavier there, but not over do it.
