Nightmare funny

Pre-ordered Two Towers from Best Buy. Shipped & charged on 8/21. Last week i still have not received it. After 4 calls to USPS to track it - they can't find it. Can't get through to Best Buy customer service, which is available 24/7 for several days starting last weekend - wait times are longer than half hour each time. Send email last Friday. I get an acknowlegment email today - but no answer yet, that is to come some other indefinite time. Today is my lucky day - four times I get through to customer service. The first two times they assure me they will email me a form to fill out and mail or fax back - I can't email my response, even if i scan with signature. EACH time no email is sent. I wait an hour then call again. On the third time I request a fax - course that don't come either. The fourth time I tell her that I don't care whether she faxes, emails, or snail mails the form - i know it won't come. all i wanted was a credit and it won't ever happen. she claims that email responses take 5-7 days since the person answering me is not the same person sending the email. WTF, am i living in a third world country? did we develop computers over the last thirty years and now we are going backwards in customer service? Maybe they are using monochrome monitors and Commodore 64's or are they using punchcards on a mainframe? Tape storage? cassettes? Maybe they should invest in an up to date computer LIKE THEY SELL IN THEIR STORES.

One minute after I hung up, i receive an email notification that they are reshipping Two Towers to me.

Yeah, right. She is just playing with me. Or maybe I will receive 10 copies of Two Towers and I can give them out for Christmas. If I get them by Christmas.

I typically only buy from them when I'm desperate. They're prices are usually inflated. Sorry to hear you're having so much trouble Madrus; that really sucks.

Best Buy

Post by Softball »

I have one word for Best Buy: ASSCLOWNS!

The only time I buy from Best Buy is when I see an ad for something on sale, I walk in and buy it. I have heard of horror stories from Best Buy. I usually order DVDs from Amazon (Free shipping for orders over $25) or Ebay. Nothing bad to say about them, I guess I have been lucky. I have heard horror stories about Ebay too.

I would cancel the order, dispute the charge with my CC company, and get it somewhere else, like Wal Mart or Amazon. Just make sure you dispute the charge with your CC company before the 30 day limit is up, and it looks like yours is 9/21.

We might not be able to do that with a debit card, but I was going to give my bank a call anyway.

Bank Card

If it is one of those Visa Check cards, you will be able to dispute the charges. I was able to when I had a problem with a double transaction charge.
