Popular Anime

My favs are,

Star Wars Clone Wars ( mini series)
http://youtube.com/watch?v=vWOThigMr-M&feature=related

Robotech: The Shadow Chronicles
http://www.theshadowchronicles.com/

Metropolis
http://www.sonypictures.com/cthv/metropolis/
Trailer:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PdxJHPucC8I

Karas: The Prophecy
Note: I had to watch the first one twice before I got a grasp of what was going on.

Trailer:

Battle Theme:

From Amazon:
I chanced upon this anime when aimlessly browsing through the internet and it has totally changed how I look at animes. So far, no anime has ever managed to surpass Karas in terms of visuals, action or storyline. The storyline unfolds as you watch the movie. Nothing is explained to you beforehand. You are brought straight into the midst of action. The visuals are simply astounding. Never have I seen an anime which places so much emphasis on detail. The visuals are even artistic and abstract to a certain extent. Truly a work of art. The action is truly breathtaking. Watch this anime and immediately every other anime you've watched will pale in comparison. This is like The Matrix of animes. A definite must-watch. The cool factor alone will keep you watching this over and over. I've watched this over ten times.

Karas: The Revelation

Note: After watching this one it all came together. What a trippy anime. I fell asleep and dreamt about Karas all night.

Ninja Scroll:
Note: A good adult anime story with lots of action. Worth the watch.

seen a lot of those but you are mising some good ones. And go watch ALL ghost in a shell you can get your hands on well worth it.

Gundam (several series based on same general concept, Ie gundam seed, gudam seed destany, gundam 79, gundam wing, I believe there are 4 or 5 different gundam universes so to speak some with only 1 series some 2 or even 3 of different times)
Appleseed (3 movies, original, remake, and continuation of remake)
Cowboy bebop (only a season but its great)
Death Note (pay attention but its actulay fun to watch)
Bleach (its become a big fad with kids now, but I was watching this one when it came on tv in japan one night next night In had a subtitled copy)
full metal alchemist (never expected to be good but in honesty its interesting)

I am sure I know more but o well

O and as for Robotech GO get the box set of all seasons of the show. Watch all of that then watch the movie as movie takes lace after all the tv epesodes as after I think it was epesode 73 the story just dead stop ended, the movie is the continuation only took what 20 ish years.

SW Clone Wars is anime? I thought Anime referred specifically to the Japanese style of animation? Clone Wars looks nothing like that.

technical speaking its not anime. ITs a American anime with lots of work done over in chine if I remember right.

anime in japan defines all animation but here its for refering to Japanese animation in general. As there are many styles of Japanese animation actually. The japanease story lines seam to mostly be geared towards older audiences. So they have this thing called a story line that American animates keep missing even tho they are now copying anime styles.

But take Appleseed newer revisions, its a shell shaded style with amazingly detailed backgrounds, not typical anime but its still anime. Trust me go WATCH appleseed

Yeah Appleseed was one of the coolest. I’ve seen the original awhile back , but I don’t have it in my collection. I’ll probably buy it if I can find a good deal.

As far as Clone Wars goes it’s an animated series so I thought Anime was short for animated or animation. No? O.0 .. Well what do I know.. :)

Sorry Veg , I Meant to post this up the last time I was here but it skipped my mind. It’s called Vexille 2007 , and it resembles Appleseed. She even looks the same. It could be that this Anime movie has the same producer and/or architect as Appleseed and Appleseed Ex Machine. It looks real simular. Anyway it's a good flick too. . I liked it , it had a surprise ending.

I liked the old Astro Boy cartoon way back in the early 60s.
