Linked article says they intended to march toward the convention center but didn't have a permit, which was why the police called it an unlawful assembly. I dunno.

there was a few years back in canada a protest against some leader from I forget what countery who was visiting canada. the legal docs where in order to do a legal protest but the cops still moved in and broke it up with force. I would need to find bideo but that was a big conteversery here for a while. Theory was the goverment did not want the protests going on with the leader here. The countery aparentlay was a violator of human rights but sucks when our own are violated so the leader of a diffent countery don't see your protest of his voilations.
