4. The Andromeda Strain
5. Tron
6. Star Wars (all of them)
7. Close encounters of the third kind
8. AI
9. 2001 A Space Odyssey
10. 2010: A Space Odyssey
11. The Day the Earth Stood Still

17. Star Trek X (this is the latest one BTW)
18. The Black Hole
19. Logan's Run
20. Stargate
Johnny Mneumonic didn't quite make the cut, but continues the cyberpunk genre very well. I could've collapsed all the Star Trek's into one, but they're not necessarily linear like Star Wars, and Star Trek V was horrible (aside from the chemistry between Spock and Kirk).

I’ve read the book and it was good: The movie didn’t pan out the way I expected , but then that’s par for the course. Everyone says the book was way better because they've seen it in their own minds eye.chronicles of riddick
Galaxy Quest .. damn you got me there.
I always liked that one too. It reminded me of Star Trek with a newer Capt Kirk in the next generation.

I was going to say all the Star Wars but I didn’t care too much for episode 1 or 3. Star Wars 1 was made for the younger audience while in Star Wars 3 I had a hard time believing that Anakin would slaughter those kids , or that the Jedi counsel didn’t see this coming. Or if they had seen it coming they should have kept a better eye on him. It was a sad ending that could have been avoided. Good space battle though.
Agreed on Star Trek Movies. Star Trek V was a bomb. I think William Shatner directed that one. One last stand between Caption Kirk and Gods rival. Eh.. Though I kinda liked Spock’s brother. He seemed like a nice guy with a vision and good intentions.
edit: 4 and 6 became 1 and 3
